Glad you got it out. If it had been crossthreaded an broken off, it would've been a real bitch to remove. I guess the guy dropped it and the bolt broke. As for your slider question, dealers usually stock parts for bikes that are no older than 3 or 4 years old. Since the 1000RR replaced the 900 in '03 I believe? maybe '04, most dealers won't have them for your specific bike.
