Default Signs of bad EFI pump????

Ok. My '01 VFR has been having rough engine problems on and off when ever it feels like. She pretty much rides fine, but then one day it feels like someone is tugging on the bike of my bike when holding a steady speed. You can feel the bogging when getting on the throttle and she'll die some times when I pull in the clutch. I'm sure my starter valves need to be sync but I'm sure they can be way off and still not make the engine run this bad, can it?

I'm leaning more to fuel problems. Either the regulator or the EFI pump. You can hear the "prime whine" just fine and sounds the same everytime. I've heard a bad pump on a chevy. Sounds like crap.

A guy I work with said he had the same problems with his minivan. It ended up being the pump. It would work fine, but then somedays it would run like crap.

All opinions are welcome. Even the stupid ones.

minivans have slightly different characteristics than bikes...

I would lean towards spark plugs first. they are cheaper than going after the fuel system.

Fuel filter?

I'm gonna try to drain the tank today. Its just a metal filter with paper in it. The only thing special is it has a 180 bend on one end. Guess how much it cost.............$80. Fudge that. I'm just gonna get one thats the same size and get more hose and just make a bigger 180.

Bogging sounds like too much fuel and/or too little spark.

Also, climate conditions can effect can effect combustion. Is it running good on warm, dry days then kinda sluggish on humid days? We've been having a lot of rain in Texas. With ram induction and high humidity, I've been having good and bad days as far as the bike is concerned. It's harder to burn that moist air...

Usually happens in the morning but it happend in the afternoon yersterday. It rained till aorund 4pm. I went to test my lcd out past 6 when everything was drying out. My bike is in the garage all night so there shouldnt be any condensation on her.
