Default SIGH! Dead Battery, Flooded engine? Honda CBR250RR 1990

Hello im new here! i joined up to ask a question about a problem with my bike, i accidently left the choke on when i was riding it and i think it killed the battery or flooded it im not sure, when i try to start to bike on now by pressing the ignition it sounds like its dieing and it wont turn on, the battery was fine to the previous owner, how can riding a bike with choke up for around 20minutes kill the battery completely? I've tried jump starting it... maybe i just need a new battery

its not ur battery if the starter motor is turning. u could possibly use a battery charge if uve been tring to start it for a while.... u need to let us know exactly what happened, were you riding and then it stalled and you couldnt get it to start again? did it ride fine and once it was off it woouldnt start again... if u charge ur battery and the bike wont start its because something else is wrong. im sure someoine on here can tell you exactly what might have happenedbut i just figured id throw u my 2 cents incase u were anxiously waiting an answer lol i know i do sometimes

Okay it was riding fine, then slowly i noticed the RPMS would drop when it was in idle, im 99% sure its the battery, because the bike sounds like its dieing when i try to turn on and when i try a bit it only gives off a "CHK" sound from the battery

charge it and see if she fires up i feel like there is another problem that caused ur bike to stall and then not start back up and your battery just died from trying to start it a bunch to no avail

Batteries don't seem to last a long time in motorcycles. A lot of things will affect the battery life. Usage, temperature, charging cycles, many things. If your bike has a battery that is 3 or more years old, then that's the first place I'd be looking. If with a new battery, it doesn't hold a charge, then the charging system of the bike would be the next place to look. But, I think you're right to start with the simple things.
