Shoei RF-1100 Whistle Noise Help....
How do you get rid of the whistle noise on the RF-1100. I never heard it until I was going 80 yesterday and turned my head to see if anyone was in my blind spot, then the whistle started, loud!. I read that I should try to adjust back the base plates to make a more secure seal. I did that but have not tried it out yet, any other suggestions?

All helmets whistle at some speed, or angle. With my Arai, dipping my head makes the whistle change, or disappear.
I've never found a helmet that didn't make some sort of noise at 80+

Well first of all, I don't know of anywhere in the country where the speed limit is more than 70. That being said, I've noticed a substantial increase of wind noise when ever I hit the E-way, even more so when in the triple digits. If I were a few inches shorter then my DB screen would help tremendously, but instead it forces all the airflow right in my face, and almost ripped my head off the first time I looked over my shoulder after I installed it. I guess what I'm trytin to say is that ALL helmets are gonna make some kinda noise whether it's a $500 Arai, or a $50 HJC (what I rock). If it bothers you too much (and you're under 6 ft.) then look into getting a double bubble wind screen. Or keep it under 80 mph. (like that'll happen)
