Ok, heres the problem, I have a 2000 F4 with 12,500 miles When shifting mainly from 1st to 2nd but also
in pretty much every gear it is very clunky and hard to shift. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do?
My clutch does disengage fully and works fine but shifts hard. Maybe using different oil in it. Does anyone else
have this problem?

 

"hard to shift" is a very relative thing - what you think is a difficult shifter might not be for someone else. Does it miss shifts -- mainly from 1st to 2nd? If the shifts are positive and the gears stay engaged then I suggest adjusting the shifter to where you can bang on it a bit harder with the toe bone.

 

Was also thinkin same thing earlyer when I was out riding cause mine CLUNKS too, sometimes soft, other times hard

 

Thanks I will adjust my shifter tomorrow and yes it does miss when accelerating hard from 1st to 2nd.

 

get some good full synthetic oil
it will help it abit

HI i have same problem but shifting from 5 to 6th under hard acceleration ...ie over 10 grand..
