Default Shifting Issue

Hey guys, so I have just been having a slight issue with my 94 F2 when shifting into second gear. I find that if I am accelerating quickly from first gear, when I shift into second gear it drops into neutral... even when I hold my toe up and try to keep it in second gear it slips into neutral then right back into second. I am hoping this can be fixed without taking it to the shop, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Shifting Issue

i'm told this is normal, but in the manual it lists a bunch of possible causes, from clutch adjustment to shifter linkage adjustment to bent shift dogs. from what you're saying, i assume every other gear works properly, and 1-2 works properly under normal driving conditions. have you tried rev matching, with or without the clutch? if it'll work when you rev match without the clutch, that rules out clutch disengagement issues. is your oil full? if it's overfilled, i know that can cause problems with proper disengagement
