Default Service Manual

I want to get a service manual and found several CDs and Downloadable PDFs online. Not sure if this is what I am looking for or if the $60.00 manual from Honda is the way to go. I want something that can take me step by step...Valve adjustments, Fork Seals etc... What are you all using? Any ideas or better manuals out there? I am use to the Haynes manual for my truck so I'm kind of looking for something like that.

Thanks,

Hi. I have a 2002 Honda CBR 600 F1 and I bought the Haynes manaul, which covers years from 1999-2006. I found a brand new, sealed copy on Ebay for less than £15.00! I find it very informative and great for the things you mention. Lots of details and step-by-step instructions as well as photos. Not sure which bike you have, as you don't mention it in your post, but Haynes have always been my choice since I owned bikes. The exception was when I had a 1980 BMW R100RS and then I bought a Cymer manual. A bit dearer but more in it! Hope this answers your question?

Haynes are good, usually the 1st thing I buy when I get a new bike. Although some of their diagrams & pics can be a bit vague. Overall though their pretty good on the step by step guides. I got my latest copy for the VFR on Ebay. New & about $40 cheaper than the price quoted by the dealership & arrived in a week (a week quicker than the dealership quoted). It came from a trader in Donnington U.K.
A good manual is worth its weight in gold when you really need them.

I like the Clymer manual - way more instructive than the Honda manuals. Although - for free the Honda manuals that are downloadable from sites like Stephy G's CBR F4i Page aren't bad to have around - especially to keep them on your PC or phone.
