Ride it fast and lean hard into those turns

Sorry no clue, haven't had a the luxury of having a brand new rubber to break in.

I ride slow but sure for the first few miles not leaning to hard in any corner. After a few days/miles/hours when the nipples were off then get into it as normal.

General method is to be careful for the first 100 miles. The tire has oil in it that will naturally come out/disipate after around 100 miles. Good idea is to just ride a nice long trip on the highway and the next time you take the bike out you will be just fine.

Used a real fine sand paper and went over the tires lightly and took it easy for the first little bit

i've heard of the sandpaper method but never tried it. you could always do figure 8's in a parking lot... increasing the lean a little bit each time. that'll wear that "film" off the new tire

The sand paper is a good idea, also you could use a flat wood file and gently use it to scrape off the protective coating, but remember you actually have to heat the tire to get the silica to come to the surface. Please don't ride it hard until you have properly heat cycled the tire.
I have done the wood file method. I find that if you do third gear roll on's (60- redline in third gear) about 3 times that will do the trick. Just use an empty road and a lot of common sense. NO TRAFFIC!
Ride safe, have fun, and BE CAREFUL.

I'm sorry, I said silica I meant catalyst. Silica is used to provide heat dispersion. Catalyst is what gives the tire its grip. My bad! You still want to heat the tire to operating temp several times B4 you start any agressive riding though so be careful no matter how you break your tires in.
