scratch on windshield....inspection???
hey guys, i am all ready to have my 94 600 f2 inspected but it does have a nice little area on the windshield thats all scratched up from the previous owner. is this somehting i should be worried about when i take it to get inspected? i know if there is a scratch bigger than a certain size on a car windshield that it wont pass, but then again its not like i use this windshield to look through....
heres a picture where you can see the scratch that im talking about...
btw, i live in virginia

RE: scratch on windshield....inspection???
im an auto detailer and see scratches on tail lenses and headlights alot. i wheel them out like i do for scratches on paint. just be careful not too get it too hot or it will burn the plastic. you can try this by hand, but i doubt it will yeild the same result. those look pretty deep and (imo) only a wheel and some quality compound or plastic polish will work. there have been other people wet sanding headlights and getting great results.

RE: scratch on windshield....inspection???
well it passed inspection. i rolled up in my truck with the bike in the back and all the guys that worked in the station were eager to help me unload it and ask me various questions. the guy checked the brakes and all the lights and threw an inspection sticker on the forks and i was on my way! they even helped me load itback in the truck (i wasnt gonna leave the trcuk there!)
