Default Need Help with Big Ugly Scratch

I got a big ugly scratch right under the word "Honda" on my right crank case cover. Anyone got any recommendations on how to get rid of it? Like does anyone make stickers I could put over it? Or does anyone know of some paint that would perfectly match the color of the crank case?

Hope someone has some ideas.

Oh, I may be new here, but I gots an idea. How about you order some of those new Decals from this site? Place one on each side and cover up the scratch? Sound good?

Crankcase cover? I would have thought it would have been more. I'll look into it. Thanks.

So these guys are saying $175 for the crank case cover? That's exactly the part I need, but that's a lot to pay. I will check with the dealer and see what they say it will cost. But I think I am back to asking about paint.

A new one at ServiceHonda costs $126.64. The part number is 11330-MEE-000. If you want to try to paint over it, you will have to polish down the scratch until you have a smooth surface, then powdercoat probably for it to look close to what it originally looks like. A sticker/decal would probably not be a good way to cover up the scratch, as the heat from the crankcase will probably ruin the sticker.

baileyjn, not to completely disrupt this topic, but are you wearing army issue ACU pants?
Yes. I'm in the Army. I generally wear old BDU pants when I ride, but on that day I kept my ACU pants on.
