Default schanged plugs...what now?

so i changed the plugs a little while ago (it was my first mechanical do-hickey thingy ever, kinda bitter sweet though, im proud that i did it, but dissapointed that my bike still hasnt started yet) which was a ****ing bitch to do! i swear its like honda intentionally makes it almost impossible to do on your own so you have to go to their dealerships...anyway, i changed the plugs, and the bike started up, had choke on, let it idle a little bit...then after about 15 seconds, it started sounding weird, and then died...i went and put new gas in it and tried again, still no luck...what else could be wrong?

Seein'as how this is your "first mechanical do-hickey thingy" I'd say you're making a pretty bold statement (no pun intended...okay maybe a little). Most guys here do all their own maintenance and mods(myself included), and with a bit of tinkering and sweat it's actually pretty easy and straightforward.

Now knowing what kind of bike you have might help. It's obviously not fuel injected though, so it could be you need to clean your carbs or have it rejetted - but you probably have no idea what this means so doing it yourself would probably be out of the question [8D]

oops you're right i forgot to mention, 98 cbr 600...and yes, re-jetting and carb cleaning would definitely be out of the question for me...why was i blessed with rugged good looks instead of mechanical know-how???

It takes me all of 10 minutes to change plugs in my F2 and F3.

You must have done it more than once.

I've changed the oil and plugs on my F2..Having owned a ZX-6 and an FZR I can tell you the Honda requires more time.

I'm sure after a few times I'll have it down to less than 45 minutes.

The Honda handles and runs better than the other two bikes I mentioned so it evens out...

As to the original postor...

Take your bike to a shop...preferably NOT a dealer...and have them diagnose the problem(s).

You didn't give much description of what "weird sounding" is....
