Rim Trim tape... ?
Hey just a quick question... wondering what everyone used to clean and prep thier wheels for best contact with the glue/adhesive of the vinyl? Thanks oh and do you think 40-50's in a garage is warm enough for application?
anything that evaporates without residue should work (this means alcohol-based products, not water-based.) i use acrysol.
and i'd wait til it's a bit warmer for the adhesive to activate well.

I had gotten my rim tape from www.tapeworks.com and there instructions were to:
1) clean rim with a degreaser (I used a bio-degreaser)
2) Use Windex with amonia to clean of the degreaser
3 Use rubbing alcohol to get rid of the amonia and let dry
Here is a pic of the finished product
