Default rider height vs bike size

Does anybody know what role your height and wieght play on the size of bike you are riding. Im about 5'11" 199lbs and Im looking to buy a new cbr 600 f4i for my first bike. I've had some people tell me they got a 600 and were bored with it after a few months. I even know a couple of girls who ride 1000's who keep telling me I'm big enough to handle a bigger bike(which makes me feel like a manly man) and if they can handle it, I can handle it. Please somebody tell me that these bitchez is crazy.

How much riding experience do you have? That should be the question you're asking when buying your first bike. If you're new to riding, don't even think about getting on a 1000cc [sm=badidea.gif], cuz handling that much power has nothing to do with your size (trust me, you will not feel more manly if you get in a wreck because the bike was too much for you). Don't let other people tell you what you should ride. Sit on a few bikes and see what's comfortable. If possible, test ride a few of your friends' bikes and see what you like. These bikes are powerful machines and should be respected. Don't let your ego get in the way.

BTW, yeah those be-atches ARE CRAZY for telling you to get on a litre bike right away. Don't know what kinda girls you hang around with, but they sound scary[sm=smiley5.gif] LOL

First real bike I rode out of MSF was a buddies 2005 cbr1000rr, rode it very easy for 3 days, then bought a 600F4i. If you are careful and show restraint a literbike is no different than a 600, the throttle works both ways. Take a look at some dyno charts. Reduce revs and you make less power. With that said, a literbike is much more apt to make noobs like us do stupid things or catch us by surprise. Then again a 600 is still way too fast and powerful for some people for a first bike.

With that said the f4i has been a great bike, easy ergos and still too fast for me. A 600rr would be harder ergos and still to fast for me. If you don't mind the ergos, get a RR, it has more than a few improvements and is somewhat better looking versus the F4i. Be a goddamn man, don't do anything because some bitch is trying to bust your *****, F them.

Very few people can ride a 600 to it's limit (most people think they can). I'm the same size as you and I feel comfortable on the 600 (F3).
