Its definitely not indestructible, the plastic still breaks, it just doesn't fall apart.

It weighs a metric ton.

Appearance is obviously subjective, personally I'm not a fan, that'd why I wont do it.

I guess if destruction is an issue then I just wouldn't run body work, just all case and engine guards.

Regardless, whatever floats your boat is all that matters.

 

Look into plasti-dip. It isn't indestructible but it doesn't weigh a lot, comes in spray cans or you can airgun it on in any color you want. It is also super easy to remove if you need to in the future. Really cheap too.
