Default Revving the Bike?

i started my bike the other day and decided to twist the throttle and rev it up a little bit... strange thing was when i tried to rev hard the engine sputtered and hiccuped twice before the engine started revving and hitting high rpms... it's okie if i go gentle on the throttle but if i give it a good twist i run into a problem... is it because the engine is still cold?... has anyone had this problem or know if i should have it checked out?

Revving the bike when you first start it up is bad for the bike..It will foul the plugs. Wait till the bike gets above 140 degree temp. Id let it warm up before you rev it up.
As far as the sputterin goes..it could be becuase it was cold but all i know is ive been told by the older guysto let ur bike warm up before you ride and before you go and rev the exhuast up.

lol, ok... do you bike a favor and stop doing that, lol. when you start it up there is no oil at all on those heads, and you could literally destroy your engine if you do this regularly. just give it a minute, let it lube up, then go for it!

Yea I had a couple of idiots friends that would always immediately rev the bike as soon as the starter button was released. I have yelled at them multiple times about this but they seem to still be stupid. I dunno, some people never learn. Anytime i see them do that im like "Your a f*ckin retard and I will be there to say, I told you so, when your bike explodes.

i have the same problem sometimes, and it happens when my bike is warmed up, at around 180, it will rev just fine sometimes and others it seems like it wants to die. i think its because of the carbs..but if anybody else has another idea i would love to know.
