Default Replacing fork springs?

Giving it serious consideration to respring my BMW. Before I do, I'd like to know what ill need to do so.

I already have a head lift stand and the tools to tackle the nuts and bolts on BMW bikes (torx everywhere). What else?

Service manual a couple vice grips/clamps and a few hand tools. Most modern sport bike forks are self-bleeding and I'm pretty sure the S1krr follows suit.

Stock suspension on a s1000rr is designed for a rider 185lbs. I weigh 145lbs. The suspension can't react well enough for my weight.

Well I guess that means the f4i is perfect for you. I wish the forks on my bike were setup stock for 185, better yet 215. Have you talked to one of the suspension companies to see if you need to anything other than the springs?

Bet the Guys on the S1000RR Forum could give you a very exacting answer Kuro.
Having been in the BMW dealership though Saturday - my best guess is most of those
owners don't do a whole lot of wrenching on them - because - (1) they can afford
not too & (2) it would probably affect their warranty coverage potentially.
