Hi. What I'm talking about is item #7 in this diagram ... https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts...92-e/crankcase .... Looking at mine it's got broken fabric covering in lots of areas plus the insulation is broken in at least one area so it needs replacing. As it's discontinued and any second hand ones will be just as old (i.e, nearly 30 years!!!) I thought I'd make up my own. Not found a similar fabric covered wire though, which I assume is some extra protection for it as it snakes under the water pump at one place.

Anyone had a look at doing this and have suggestions for an 'adequate' replacement wire type?
