Default Regular vs Full Length Race Brake Lines

I dont know if this is in the right section or not, but it is general lol.

I've impulse bought a set of HEL Performance Full length Race Brake Lines Kit. (thats a mouthful)

I figured, it was a specific kit for my 929, so, itll fit... but... will it?

I was looking at the bike's existing brake lines, and they basically are an inverted Y set. so, 1 line from the brake handle down to the front mudguard, that then splits to each caliper...
And I think the lines I bought are 2 lines from the brake lever, full length, all the way down to the calipers.

Will they still fit? or do I have to buy some sort of adapter?

Thanks.

Yes, they should fit. I did this on my bike. If your long line goes from your lever all the way to your right caliper, then there is probably a double length banjo bolt and a second line that goes over to the other caliper. You can reuse that banjo bolt with your new lines. If it meets a little splitter, then goes to the calipers, you will need a double banjo bolt.

So once you remove your lines, then you will use the double length banjo at the lever, and the two lines will hang down and one goes to one caliper and one to the other. Its that simple. Works great. I have it on both my bikes. One was a made to fit set from some company and the other I just bought lines of my own specified length from a brake line company.

Good luck

Right, thanks for the reply, Do you think that double length banjo bolt would be included in the kit or would I have to buy it separate?

They are supposed to be like that, run to the calipers directly. Promotes more even braking and better braking response running it straight to the calipers. Bolt would be included.
