Default rectifier question

I've got an F4. My question is... if the rectifier over heats, will it kill all power to the bike?

This thing has been causing me a major headache. It used to die everytime the cooling fan would come on so I put a new rectifier from ricks on it a few months ago, which fixed the problem.

Recently the 30A fuse blew. I got a new fuse and the battery had a bad cell so I replaced it too. After that, it started dying when the fan would come on, again.

I had some extra money so I went ahead and replaced the stator. That seemed to fix the dying problem, so I took it for a little test ride.

...five miles down the highway and all of a sudden the electricity stopped flowing. No spark, the gauges stopped working. Before I stopped I tried to pop start it and nothing happened. While I was stranded on the side of I-35 I noticed that the rectifier was extremely hot. Im going to replace the rectifier again. If that doesn't work than I might use the bike for target practice...unless someone has any ideas?
