Hey have a 99 cbr 900rr. i put a used rectifier in last year im checking volts idle about 1100-1300 bouncing 13.2-13.9 and reving 15 volts is that completely normal or a little too high???? help appreciated and also how to test if bad?

15v is on the high side. Normally you'd see 14.5v or so. What was it that prompted you to check it ?

 

some butt connecters i put it got a lil warm.

 

Connectors are inclined to get warm if they are loose, or corroded. An increase of 1v is not going to cause a connector to get warm. Maybe the component that's downstream from those connectors is having an issue. What did they go to ?

 

In addition to getting warm due to corroded or loose, they may be under-rated for the power your putting to them. Make sure the connectors are not too small.
