rear sets
Can someone tell me what the differnence is between OEM rear sets and after market. Do they help when covering the brake while riding a wheelie. Are they more adjustable.
When covering the rear brake, does it aoutomatically aply brake. The way my 05 is set when the bike comes up, it seems like alot of pressure is on the brake at that angle.....

Depending on which aftermarket rear set you buy, you have a lot more options for adjusting. The most common reason to buy them is to add clearance and adjust for your style of riding. I'm not sure about the brake issues you're having since the lever is attached to the rearset.
The purpose of after market rearsets is not help cover the rear brake, it's to provide more clearance when you are leaning in a turn and puts you in a more aggressive seating position.
"race" rear sets are also a hard peg...so they don't pivot....which may be advantageous to a stunter. Also generallybeing made from a 6061 billet, instead of being cast, makes them able to holdup to a few "rider errors"...bending rather than breaking.
