Rear Axle (Aftermarket?)

My bike is a 1996 CBR600 F3
I'm thinking my rear axle might be bent on my bike which might be contributing to my bike vibration on decel(And possibly accel but can't tell). Anyways I got a nail in my tire the other day (I think I hit the mountain twisties with it too) and it's deflated. And with the wheel off I decided I might take care of a few other things while it's off. One thing will be new rear brakes.
And I was also figuring on going ahead and replacing my rear axle. A new one from Honda is only $44 and I'll most likely replace the bearings anyways. I figured it can't hurt (Or the bearings atleast)
But being a performance nut I'm always looking or a slight advantage. And I was curious if there are aftermarket axles. Such as a CNC forged one compared to cast. And what kind of metals wouldthey be made of? Would something like that be available or even worth it if available? I do know the bike went through hell before me. My buddy often popped wheelies whenever he could and dropping the clutch I feel could have put a stress on it. But I'm not sure.
Also what would be some good bearings? Does Timken make some for this bike? Or are their better brands?
Any help is appreciated.
