Default Re-Applying Tank Pad?

so i got a clear pro-grip tank pad a few weeks ago and its starting to peel up in one corner and the glue is drying out. i would like to take off the pad, remove the adhesive, put on some new advhesive, and put it back on my bike. has anyone ever done this? what kind of adhesive should i buy? i know most of you will say to just buy a new tank pad, but if i can save the extra 15 bucks then i would like to. thanks!

problem is with other adhesives is once you put them on there is a good chance you will never that it off. unless you tear off the clear coat/paint. sometime gloogone and other solvents might not work on that adhesive. i know that you want to salvage the pad but i recommend a new one.
