Default RADAR

What kind of radar does everyone use and why?

(not asking how to break the law, but just how to exercise my rights to use radar)

I use an Escort 8500 in my truck, want to mount it on the bike, but haven't really looked into it. I also looked at the HUD unit that mounts on the outside of your helmet, lets you know alot more stuff than just radar alerts. I'm thinking about mounting it up front, below the air intakes.

Like james said, all you need to do is cut the wires and tie them into a battery, but you will have to install a switch or it will constantly draw power.
