Default problem with my '01 f4i

Hey guys, how's it going?
I am encountering a strange new problem with my '01 f4i. Recently we had a very bad rain storm (don't know if that's related) and at one point, my bike was uncovered for several hours (wasn't home to cover it). Today on my way out, I noticed that my HID's weren't on. So I kept on going and figured I'd mess with them later. Well on my way home , they suddenly just turned back on on their own. Then a couple miles later, turned back off. Now the weird part: In the process of turning the bike on and off to see any results from the HID's, I noticed that my starter switch wasn't doing anything. So I pulled in my clutch thinking maybe it wasn't all the way in when I tried and all of a sudden the bike turned over, on its own. Turned it back off with the kill switch and when I flipped the kill switch back on, the bike fired up again, on its own. Not pushing the starter or anything, the bike is just starting itself... I also noticed the instrument cluster slightly dims when the bike starts and it also does the same thing every few seconds while its running (as if it's trying to start itself even though it's already running). Any ideas on what could've gotten wet or shorted or anything?

Most likely is water in the switchgear.

Open it up and a good blast of compressed air should make all the difference.
