Default Please help with charging question.

Hi all, I have a 1993 Honda cbr 600 f, I have had problems with the battery going flat when I have been on a ride. However I did some tests at weekend and everything seemed ok. I have ordered a regulator anyway as it seems they are quite a common problem. Tonight I went out for about 60 mile ride, tested battery when I got back and its 12.9 volts is this ok.

Hi this is a reading with my old regulator on after I have been for a ride. Usually the bike comes back and then the battery is flat. But this time it was ok. Thats proper got me scratching my head now. Its either an itermitent fault or was just a loose connection maybe and with me messing its fixed.

The reg does not usually just die, it likes to tease the hell out of you. Usually to fool those into thinking the batterry is sus, but its the reg.

I would check and replace regulator. To be on the safe side replace the battery as well.
