First, go to Sears and buy a cheap auto-ranging digital multimeter, every house should have one.
second, go to this page (Stephy G's CBR F4i Page) and skip the intro and look at the bottom of the page, there will be a link to download a manual for the f3, which will have the proper procedures to troubleshoot your stator, r/r, and other electrical faults, as well as component locations and wiring diagrams. if you do that and you are still stuck, PM me and ill give you my number so you can call me, and I will help you troubleshoot.

check for corrosion/loose wires on your wiring. check where the battery grounds to the frame too

it could be a number of different things. buy or download a shop manual and go through the diagnose process and you will find the problem. its time consuming, not too difficult though.

thanks guys. i already have the f3 manuel and tried to trouble shoot with my multimeter.. only problem is its a 15th century analog that doesnt offer some modes thats needed. im checking all the wire connections now. i kind of botched taking out the r/r the other day... as a result i kicked the platic harness to the curb and connected the wires directly to the pins.. this is just temporary until diagnostics are done. question is, will this interfear with my results? the battery ground sounds promising. im working on the p3 connector right now and everything seems to be good... no wires seem to be toast and everything seems to be connected properly... kinda wish i waited to register and insure me bike
