Default PGM-FI light is on

I have a 2006 1000RR with only 1350 miles on it. Today the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) and the PGM-FI light on the dash came on (steady not flashing) while on a ride. Engine runs fine and no signs of trouble. I pull over and shut the bike off and start it again. Both lights are off and I take off. After 15 minutes, both lights (MIL and FI) comes on again (steady). I continue to ride and the bike runs fine. So I pull over and do the same again. This time I rode for like 60 miles without any problems then it comes on again. Is there anything wrong with the bike?

Thanks

Since your engine is new and I assume you havnt gotten the temp over 250F, its probably something simple like a loose connection to the ECT sensor. You might try pushing the connector in and out a few times. Also (just guessing again) you might try disconnecting the battery for a minute to reset any codes.
The MIL goes on (steady) when oil pressure is too low or coolant temp gets too high but... the oil pressure or the coolant pressure lamp will BLINK at the same time.
The PGM-FI lamp will go on when starting but will continue to BLINK if there's a problem with the fuel injection.

Since you baby is still new it should be under warranty?? so I would just pop down to where you got her and just have her checked out by a qualified mechanic....Better to play safe than sorry!
