Which oil to use!??
dont put your bike on a rear stand. the oil will not fully drain out. if you look carefully at where the plug is, honda designed it to fully dump out when its just on a sidestand. also dont take your fairing off there is no need to (CBR600 F4i 06). You can get access to the drain plug easy. easier than kissing your sister, and the filter you just need an extender for you filter wrench or hex driver (the fram filters have a nut soldered on the top of their filters....much easier that way)
Someone posted the link saying that the Shell Rotella was the best regular oil to use, but in the text it says that ALLxxW-30 or xxW-40 are energy conserving and shouldn't be used. I' still trying to figure this stuff out. I've been using Repsol blend in 10w-40 and am very pleased, but the price tag is a bit much considering the miles I put on it and it's a daily driver. Would love to go cheaper and get similar protection.
As for filters, the link says to use the Pure One filters. Purolator says DO NOT use the Pure One filters because the cycles normally have high oil pressure and the pure one filters may be too much pressure drop across the filter. They do make a motorcycle specific filter though and they are like 35% of the price of the OEM Honda.

i have been using rotella dino and havent had a problem at all. actually used to use valvoline for vtwins on my virago and switched to rotella in that as well. shifts way better...no clutch slippage in either bike.
