Default Which oil should I use on my 600RR

I need to change the oil, which should I use?

My buddy who owned it before said he just bought the honda oil, I know that's not necessary but what do you guys use?

Anything good available at Pep Boys, I have a gift card there. If not, where else might I go for these oils. It will be ridden in the summer only.

Thanks in advance

Well, you'll get a zillion opinions...I use Repsol (10W40T) in my 600 (it's a track bike, gets changed every 200 miles or so) and the Honda stuff in my 954 (every 3,000 miles). I use the stock Honda filters. So far, so good.

Go to wal-mart and get the Shell Rotella T in the BLUE jug not the white, and get an oil filer for the Civic. Cost ya bout 22 bucks total, and it all EXCEEDES OEM specs.

Where do you guys pick up the oil filters? I've seen people say stealership, is that the only option? Is it a stocked item or do they have to order it?

Looking to do plugs, oil, coolant, new rotors, pads, braided brake lines all this weekend. I'd love to knock it all out at once! I'm just short the oil filter!

Any oil filter for the Civic will do. I suggest Mobil or the walmart brand. STAY AWAY from fram.
