oil
I love OIL DEBATES!!!!
I have had two 1200's, one VTx 1800 and a 954 and they ALL ran Castrol 10-40 (non-energy conserving.) And this is only my last four bikes in 6 years with 60,000 miles total. I have always run Castrol, My co-worker has 180K on his Goldwing which runs castrol 10-40. Standard, semi-syn. or ful synth. is all good enough.
If it has non-energy conserving on the back label then it IS fine. No need to make people think they have to use a certain type/brand/specialty or they will ruin there bike. It is simply not true.

Oil, What a slippery subject !!!!!!!!( somebody, had to say it !!!!!!!!) Molly is fine, if its soiuluble molly, the other type molly is like ballbearings, hence... my main concern is the "shear" additive package... the trany is really good at "snipping", the additives. I use schaeffer, 20/50. One friend of mine got 132k on his blade, use'n amsoil. No smoke easy starts hot and no noises, amazing... he's a hard rider too. had no problem selling the bike. Clean and free, ripp'n
