OIL!!

Default OIL!!

When i first bought my bike it leaked oil and i got it fixed and i never had a problem with it and then when i changed it about a month ago it started to leak again just a little bit for like one day and then it quit so i just ignored thinking well maybe thats just old oil still dripping out or something, but when i ride i see oil spots all over the tail section like its getting spit out while i ride. What could be the problem?? It doesn't leak when its just sitting and i dont ever notice any oil when im riding i just see spurts of it on the tail and around the shifter...

likely it's not oil but grease from your chain. better check thoroughly for the culprit. make sure it's oil. otherwise, it could be coming from your front sprocket area.

definately check that chain and then if not you can try some engine oil dye and use a black light to track down the culprit. (must completely wash bike first.) Are you having to add engine oil?

No i dont have to add oil....i thought maybe the chain but exactly will i be looking for if it is the chain?

Check to make sure you put the oil filter on tight. You said you noticed it after you changed the oil.

Also Check the crush washer on the oil drain bolt, that may be causing a leak if its not sat right.

I`d vote for it being the chain lube flicking off though.

My friend did just oil my chain maybe thats all it is but i will look at it all and see...THANKS

what did your friend use to lube the chain? like heavy weight oil or chain lube/wax/grease?

He used chain lube i think....he works at a honda shop and he said he was bringin something from there that was for lubing chains so im assuming it was a chain lube.
