yeah sounds like chain lube flying off. that's exactly what happened to me the very first time i lubed my chain. i was like "i'm gonna make sure there's plenty of lube on here so i just kept spraying". after my first ride - sh*t was everywhere - underneath the tail, on the exhaust, rear wheel, by the kick stand, etc! i was cleaning that crap off for i don't know how long. lesson learned!
