Default No Hands Wobble

Just bought an 06 1000rr. Used to have a 2000 f4. On my f4 I could go no hands on the bars to stretch out a bit when I was slowing down. When I do that with my 1000rr the front end starts to wobble pretty bad. Hands on it is fine. Any ideas out there?
thanks

Check your head bearings for slop. Off the bike, hold the front brake and try to push the bike back and forth...do you hear or feel any clunking? If so, that's your head bearings...simply titghten the stem nut and the problem should go away.
Oh, and keep your hands on the bars...when you need to react to a kid/animal/gravel patch/dumbass driver, it's much easier if you have control of your bike.
