It could be a number of things
1 Fouled plugs
2 Running on the choke too long
3 Dirty airfilter
4 No gas, or too low - check reserve
5 Blocked fuel filter
6 Old fuel
7 flat battery (they don't charge at idle)
Oh and I moved your question here.

^^^ + The fuel filler cap has a small vent that sometimes gets clogged, open the fuel cap & see if that works. Faulty fuel pump. Its a process of elimination with something like that.
