Default No brakes

hi there,
i have a Honda CBR 600rr 1998 model. when i start the bike with the headlight on, both my rear brake globes stay on and i apply back and front brakes the brake globes wont show I'm using them. the globes dint look like they are blown and i dint know if they are the right globes for the bike. i have never owned a bike before can someone please help!! as i wont to get a blue slip and get it on the road.??

Sounds like a wiring problem or the switch may be stuck. Try lifting the rear brake and see if it unilluminates.

Not much help as ive never had the problem. Sorry.

thanks mate i played around with back brake switch and now when i apply back brake it works tried the front brack but still not working do you think it might be the front brake switch is it common????

I'm not sure if your switch is an open or closed switched. But you can unplug the wires from the switch then cycle the two wires together and see if you get the brake lights to work that way. If they do, there is probably an issue with the switch. If they don't work, there is probably an issue with the wiring from the switch to the brake light.

how do you cycle the to wires together im not very techy
