I was just wondering how i can tell if my chain needs to be replaced. I just bought an f3 a few weeks ago and the chain looks crappy but I really dont know if I should replace it or what. And also what is the worst thing that could happen if the chain were to fail and what would have to happen to make it fail?

 

If poss post some pics of your chain.Drying out, rust, too lose and too tight can make your chain fail. If it failsyou could throw it through your crank (Very expensive). You could throw it out the back hitting a car or a fellow rider. Or it could get wraped in the rear seizing your tire causing you to go down.

 

not to mention taking a nice chunk of your leg with it.......
