New Plugs, Cleaned Carbs, no start
Hey Everyone, New Member here, I have a 97 CBR 600, 10,xxx miles. The bike had been sitting for about a year, it would start and run real rough. It wouldn't idle at all. I cleaned the float chamber and vacuum chamber going off this thread https://cbrforum.com/m_311016/tm.htm I then changed the plugs. Now it won't even start. Cranks just fine but doesn't fire. Pulled the plugs to make sure I have spark and I do. Pulled the fuel filter and fuel pump, both of those checked out fine. Where should I check next. I am about ready to take it to the shop and just have them fix it. I have been reading on syncing the carbs, but to my understanding I need to get the bike running first. The only thing that I can think of is that I didn't clean the jets when I pulled the carb and that those are clogged.... Any suggestions would be very appreciated TIA!!!!!

well lets see... the basic checklist....
Make sure the fuel valve isnt turned off, make sure the fuel in it is fresh
Check all the fuses again
Fully charged battery
Plugs wires tight on both ends
Nothing unplugged
Vacuum hoses and such are correct (check manual... download from stephygee.com)
Have you tried to start it using a little bit of starting fluid?
Is the choke on?
After the winter, when I went to restart it, it took about5 times of 15 second long cranks before it started, it had no fuel tank all winter.
Is the air filter still ok?
Having you tried giving it a pinch of throttle while cranking?
Start there....

RE: New Plugs, Cleaned Carbs, no start
Update, took the carborator apart again the other day and made sure and cleaned the jets this time. Took some cranking to get it started but once it did and warmed up idled decently. The idle is a little rough but revs nicely. Idles right at 1200 with a little variance. I put some seafoam in the tank. I'll run a couple tanks like that and then if it's still rough I'll go ahead and sync the carbs.
