Default New Ignition Needed?

I own a 99 cbr600f4 and every year I put in a new battery just to start off fresh each season. This year I am not getting anything out of the bike. No lights, no starter, nothing. I first recharged last years battery and didn't get anything out of it. I put my buddies battery on which definitely works and I still didnt get anything

For some reason when i put my key in a quarter of the way into the ignition, it can spin around 360*, when I put in in all the way it hits all the proper positions and stops. Does this sound like my ignition is busted? Could this spinning problem not even matter and it could be the starter instead?

I am going to buy a new battery tomorrow but what I really want to know is do I need a new ignition and if so does anyone know the best place to buy one either used or new?

Thanks in advance

Check your fuses bro. All that battery switchin could have caused one to pop.

Default RE: New Ignition Needed?

I checked the fuses near the battery but didnt have enough light to search all over the bike for the main fuse. Any help pointing me in the right area to find it would be appreciated.

BTW thanks for the responses.
