I agree that it doesn't sound like your battery has enough juice. Mabye your charger is lying to you. How long did you leave it charging? If it just does the click click click thing I don't think its getting enough juice. At first I was going to tell you to make sure that the bike was in neutral, when I was doing some work on my old bike I tried to start it to make sure everything still worked and all that it did was click once. I couldn't figure out what was wrong and thought the battery was dead, so I charged it and still the same thing. I bumped the horn when I was messing around with it and it was really loud, like a fully charged battery, so I started looking and the bike was in gear, clicked it into neutral and it started right up. Sorry or the long post, but I thought I'd share how dumb I can be LOL

Tap the started with a wrench or small hammer, tap the solenoid. They may be stuck.
Check voltage drop when starting.
Check all grounds.
Can these bikes be push started?
My father used to have a service garage and he said the same about batteries, my guess it was true in the old days, but now with new materials it may not be so.
I hope it is a cheap fix whatever it is.

Yeah, cement does kill batts. Ive lost a few as well as my dad and his friends' batts too!!! Cement absorbs water as well as many other things. I work in a warehouse and in the summer its slippery as a bitch cause the cement sweats out all of the water that it absorbed during previous months. It doesnt absorb the battery acid, unless it is an open cell batt. where you have to fill er up and it got knocked over. It can absorb the so called energy, thus draining it.. YeaH *****!!!
well i know it has been a while but its back up it was the battery but at the sane time it messed up my started to i had to take it in a get it checked ou now all i had was to buy a new battery and some labor for the starter to be checked out. now its back in action well once the dam rain quits lol. thanks for all your help
