need some help
recently i took out the battery out of my bike because i was doing some electrical changes/oil change. the battery was out for about a week and last night i put it all back together. then next i checked my light and everything and they were good, then i tried to start it and it didn't want to it just made a clicking nose. ok so i though i would give it a jump then, so i hook up the cables and all tried to start it again and nothing. i checked all my wiring just to make sure and every thing was good. so at this point i lost. so any suggestions........i will be working on it later tonight
Sounds like there is not enough juice in the battery to push the starter clutch into position to get the bike to turn over. How old is the battery? How long did you let it charge before trying to start it again?
Where did you keep the battery when you had it out of the bike, cause if you set it on the cement floor, that will do it. setting a battery directly on cement will drain your battery lickety split yo. Thats prolly the culprit.
well the battery is pretty new not even a year old....well i connected the jumper cables and tried it right off the bat but then i waited for about 5 minutes and then tried it again.
yeah i connected to my truck...and i check some fuses but they looked good
yeah i had the battery on the concrete.. so what do i do now got get it recharged? or what?

wow...i've never heard of the battery on the concrete dilio mang...
is it like hemorrhoids and sitting on cold concrete?
buahahahha...
if the battery is too drained, may not be able to get it recharged...you may also want to try to push start it...but don't fall over!

hey tahoe probably got it right, a car battery can very easily kill your bike battery, they just don't mix. try jumping it, if it still doesn't start (but i'm pretty sure it will) then you've got a mechanical problem.
double check the fuses, worst case scenario take the battery somewhere and have it tested, auto zone, walmart, etc

Hell yeah cement drains the battery quicker than my g/f does me!!! No, seriously, if you put the batt. on like a float charger over the winter and leave it directly on the cement, you can kiss tha batt. goodbye. I keep mine on a wooden shelf in tha garage. Im just wondering where he stored the battery for that mysterious week.?.?.?.......
well i went to go recharge the battery and all was good so i went back and put it in again then i went to start it and stil nothing except all it does now is just click click click click click really fast so i checked the fuses right behind the battery because that is where it seems to be making the noise from. then i checked them both and they where both good... so now i am totally lost and have no where to go from here... this f' sucks man
