Default mixed matched tires?

is it ok to hav 2 different brands of tires. when i bought mine it had a pirelli dragon supercorsa on the back,(is that the same as the dragon supercorsa pro) and a michilen somethin on the front. i need to change the front one, and i dont know if i should get tires that match, or not.

you really should have matching tires, mostly because if you have two different compounds the warm up time will be different (your rear could be sticky while your front is still cold and slips) also you need to think about the rate of wear that the different compound has. this way you wont have to keep replacing one or the other if you get the same tire.

in addition to what Havoc said, you also need to consider the profiles of the tires will not be the same. this means your tires contact patch with the road may not line up like they should.

Michelin Pilot Powers! They are reasonably priced, good grip, and pretty decent mileage.
