ok..I looked closer at your photos....will be difficult to build that up even with JB and either using a helicoil or a timecert( would be the best choice if you decide to)to get to hold.....there are enough bolts around the case that the missing one "should not" be to much of an issue....plus it is on the top side of the case. repairthe damage to the actual sealing surface making sure it is dealy flat and ( I would get Hondabond HT instead of regular RTV...the HT is a a contact type cement and has much better sealing qualities) seal it up.
email me direct at pamw0001@yahoo.com.....if you want to arrange to talk live about this...would be glad to help

RE: Missing piece of Crankcase-WTF do I do???
The dealership had hondabond ht ($15-wow!), but didn't have the starter idler gear thrust washer in stock (discussed above). It is part number 90401-MEE-000. It is a M 10x28x1 washer. I'm going to call up another dealership today for it. In the meantime, I was wondering if I could use a regular washer. I would assume if it's stainless steel (not chromed steel) or aluminum, then it should work, if it's the same size. Is this too big a risk, or do you think it will work? The dealer could have the washer in by the end of the week if I ordered yesterday.
