Mesh jacket sizing and fit question...
Im looking at a couple fieldsheer mesh jackets. I have a 42" chest. The med is 40-42" and the large is 42-44". With this style of jacket would a snug fit be the way to go or is it more just preference?
thanks
thanks
The snugger the fit, the better. With textile jackets, since they have the tendancy to flop around from the wind if their is any loose materail, it can be rather annoying. Plus, from my experience, textile seems to run a bit larger than leathers for the same size.
Having said that, it all depends on the manufacturer as well. A 48 joerocket doesnt fit me at all... really tight in the shoulders and loose in the waste, yet a 48 alpinestars fits me great all over. If your buying over the internet, your probably better off at the very least finding a dealership somewhere that carries that brand and trying it on. even if you don't find the exact model, its still a good idea to see if they run tight or loose within the manufacturer.
But, a lot will also depend on how larger your waist is too. If your slim, definately get the medium. If you have a little bigger waist, or stomach, you may want to get the large.

from what i've learned mesh is the worst to slide on. i'd upgrade and look at some textile jackets.
regarding sizing, tighter fitting is better. if you were to ever go down, any excess material can bunch up cause the seams to tear. a flat surface can slide easier and spread the force out over its area.
