Default Lowering a GS 500f???

Alright so i know this isnt a suzuki forum but im asking here because i trust you guys advice. So this girl i know bought a 2006 suzuki GS500f. She wants to lower it and i told her i could do that for her since i did my 929 with no problems. Anyway I found the rear lowering link and see how it goes on and dont see any problem there. My problem is that on the front end where you would normally just lower the triple tree down the forks to get the front height right the GS500 has handle bars in the way. The handle bar set up is like real handle bars that are mounted to the plate on top of the triple trees and the forks would hit them if you tried to drop it. My question is has anybody run into this before? Like do they make a riser kit to get the handle bars high enough that you could lower the triple trees on the forks or is there a different/better way of doing it? Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Jamien

Risers are on ebay.

I'd recommend she invest in some. Or have the seat cut.

Ah the old GS500's, great little all rounder. I toured the wheels off the one I owned.
