Default lots of chain noise

seem to have a lot of chain noise on the bike, and a sort of thump when i roll on and off the throttle. could it be the cush drive rubbers? its not gear box noise, because its not constant but sort of chuffsas the chain bounces if you know what i mean. would get a vid with sound, but difficult to do when im riding

I'm guessing you've already checked the adjustment.
I'd check that it isn't too tight as the sounds could possibly be a wheel bearing given up due to over tensioning the chain.
There's also the chain slider to check.

checked the chain last week, checked it again yesterday, last week fine ths week right at the end of the adjustment. was a brand new chain when i bought the bike. must have been a duff one to stretch so much in less than 500 mile. going to bang a new chain and sprocket set and see wht happens.
