losing power

hi everybody im new to the forum and just got my first bike a 99 600f4 as soon as it hits 8000rpm it starts sputtering any help would b nice

does it have an after market pipe if so that could be some of the problem sometimes people put on a pipe and dont tune the bike jet kits and etc check to see if this has been done yet

shouldnt need a jet kit with a pipe only....if a pipe and k&n then might need a jet kit, I have a pipe on my bike no problems...might need a tune up...check the plugs, clean the carbs...
