Default Locktite on bar ends?

Hey I have a question for you guys with experience. I recently lost a bar end to what I believe may have been vibration while riding. I hear (from the 929 forum) that you can put loctite on the bar ends to keep them from coming off. I know this may be a noob question, but since I've never used it before I want to ask anyway... if I put the loctite on the thread will I be able to take it off if I ever need to? Or is it "completely permanent make sure you're happy with your decision" kind of stuff.

That stuff's pretty adhesive, so it'll be on pretty premanent. You could take it off, but it'll take a lot of work and could get messy. Try using something else like maybe just a hot glue gun.

well, there are different grades of loctite so just use the mildest one.

it really shouldn't vibrate off like that if you just keep it tight though.

hot glue?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

WTH are you thinking????

Loc-tite comes in several strengths. Just use the low-grade one and you'll be fine.

I used the "non permanent" blue loctite... my friend said he could take his sliders off with hand tools but they didn't fall off any more
