Default Locating Cam chain tensioner 98 F3 motor

After some research and some basic knowledge I have, I believe my CCT is going out..

It "ticks" at low rpm/idle and goes away in the 3-4rpm and up range.

My question is where would be the best place to get one? I feel edgy about ebay .. I'd like to get one I know is in proper working order. I dont want to order it more than once.. is there a more reliable site for parts? Would I have any luck with a Honda dealership?

Also, how long can I run it like this before I have some major issues? It just started ticking today. And what issues could those be or lead to? It's sort of a daily driver to work.. I own a car but I sure to like 40mpg and my car definitely doesnt get that.

Anyways thanks in advance.

One of them will have what you need.

As for major problems - you ride a Honda - ride the thing until your new one gets there Mine's been rattling for a year or more on a 1000F.

Well I got access to the tensioner on my bike. With it still installed I can screw it inword (counter-clockwise) and if I continueing screwing it in the noise goes away.. it slowly tightens the chain and it stops rattling..

But the second I let go of the screw driver it starts to draw back out.. eventually starting to make it loose and clatter again.
I noticed if I tighten too much it starts to want to die, maybe too tight eh? I let off of course before it goes that far.

Is a manual one my only option? Cant find an OEM one for a 98 F3

Its looking like it. I wish I could just get the screwdriver to stay in place because that would keep it tight lol... its almost as if I got it lodged in there somehow it would fix my problem all together.
