Default License plate --- Swing arm pool

I'm about moving to Missouri. The mod that I did to my 01 F4i is I cut almost the entire under-rear section and put a piece of plexy glass into there. My question is if I mount the license plate right behind the tail light, I mean I'll drill 2 holes into that piece of plexy glass to have the license plate stick flat against it, will I get into trouble with the cops in Missouri ?

Another question, does anybody know where can I get a pair of swing-arm sliders-to use for rear stand- for my bike? It appears that there's no place on the swing arm that I can put in the sliders. If you have the slider on your F4i, please reply with pix. Big thanks.

You should be able to splice into the original license plate light harness, if so there are lights available that you can buy and install that will light up your plate. Talk to someone at www.clearalternatives.com and see if they will sell you the one that comes with the CBR600RR kit fender eliminator/license plate relocation kit. They sell a light in that kit that is triangular shaped and will literally stick on your plexy glass.

As long as you have some kind of bulb that casts a light on your plate you should be OK. Keep in mind that this is the law in Ohio but unless the law specifically states that your plate has to be mounted vertically or at the most rear portion of the vehicle or something like that you should be OK.

If you want to be real safe find a number to call that will hook you up with the State Police or Patrol in that state and ask them what the requirement is.

Thanks for the replies. Yup, I'm moving to Joplin, MO. Do you know the Missouri Southern State University, Thom? I'm going there.
Most of my modifications I did to my bike, I used home-made materials. The plexy glass undertail , I cut it myself. By the way, sorry about the sored-eye pictures. I plan on mounting the license plate about 60 degree angle. Don't know what the MO cops gonna say.
